Normally, I should have written this as acknowledgements section in one of my books. However, something that happened last night changed my perspective a little bit, so I’m writing it here where everybody can see without having to buy any books.
Just last night, my son came to me and said, “Dad, I think you are really unstoppable when you focus on a goal. Because you never give up!”
That’s true that I’m insistent about my goals in life to a point that some people call me “pit-bull” because they think I don’t let it go when I bite. But what happened early this year could easily bring my doom due to the tremendous emotional and psychological trauma in our life. I can easily say that it was the darkest, the most evil, the most disastrous period in my life, which caused us tremendous damage almost in every aspect. I was at a point where I didn’t even know how to get up while I was trying get healed from the sickness all this caused, let aside how to launch this company officially. When we started this project, we were ten people, and I found myself completely alone after a series of huge betrayals. Still, there were some people who helped me get through it, and I think a “thank you” is for due.
I want to start with my cousin, the Digital Marketing and Promotions Manager of SaySaga Inspirational, Mert Yeniceri. I still remember what you said to me last New Year’s Day, brother, even if it didn’t register completely during the darkest hour of my life. “SaySaga Inspirational is my future, too. I invested my heart in it, because I know you’d do the same. You never fail your loved ones.” And no, you didn’t fail me, either. The greatest and most heartfelt thank you comes to you! As a cousin, you’re naturally my brother, but you’re also an invaluable brother-in-arms.
While I was still in that dark place, The Dark Night of the Soul, I could lose even my 13 year old son. However, he refused to give up showing all his willpower, and stayed with me, saying, “You are all the parents I know. You’re my father, you’re my mother, and I won’t abandon you. When did you ever abandon me, anyway?” Rohan, my golden hearted son, you are worth everything I invested in you. Thank you! But I know it was as hard for you as it was for me, so I want to extend my gratitude to all those wonderful people at your school, Altinsehir College, because they got your back whenever needed and I wasn’t able to be there for you.
My dear friend and fellow author, Janet G. Nestor. Not only your faith in SSI and me always remained strong, but also helped me to get through that darkness, being there for me everyday even from across the world.
This might sound a little bit weird to some, but I want to thank you to Archangel Michael, who often visited me in my dreams, and did his best to give me hope and strength. Well, the “Room of Impossibles” you mentioned is really a very powerful and strange place, Michael. It’s full of surprises and miracles.
I still remember how it felt when I first heard your voice on Messenger Audio, Lex (Doula). I see it as a privilege to be able to call you as a classmate in this school where we call life. Thank you for your warm heart, and solid friendship, my dear.
I have to give some special thank you to our accountant Sinem Sahin. You went beyond your responsibilities, and proved me over and over again that I was right when we chose to work with your office. And calling you a friend is an honor for me.
Olgu Onat is a blessing in my life. You were my student when I met you, but you taught me a lot as well, especially about caring for your loved ones. I know we are soul-mates, and I’m a lucky bastard to have you as a soul sister. And I want to extend my gratitude to your wonderful husband and a very dear friend to me, Ruhi Onat, and your parents Bilgi and Erol Atak.
I want to thank to Ali Murat Karaaslan, the second guitarist of my band Angel Force, and an amazing musician. I long to be back to shred our guitars, bro! We’ll be back in the studio soon, promise!
Ebru Kutuk probably has a very hard time while helping me with astrological consultancy during all these months. I know I was rebellious at times, and wasn’t at peace with myself, trying to overcome all this huge obstacles and life threatening health problems. But we did it, and I appreciate your presence in our lives, my dear. Thank you!
For all the help in creative area, I want to thank to Gokhan Gor for his trust and efforts.
Dear Ece Ozbas, we did and shared a lot in the past, didn’t we? Trust me when I say it was nothing compared to what’s to come, my friend. We are just starting out!
I’ve been in touch with Julia Gibbs for years now, even if indirectly. But getting to know you personally is a great gift, Julia, believe me. And just like you said yourself, “time heals everything,” my dear. Making books together aside, I know I will enjoy our friendship, and make sure you do, too. Thank you!
In the publishing industry of our country, where you can see some douchebags calling themselves publishers (pun intended), I’m grateful for your vision, Zulfu Ogur. I believe Librum Books and SSI will have an awesome team-up in the months to come. Welcome to my life, my friend!
I also want to thank to my parents Ayse & Abdurrahman Yeniceri, my sister Derya Yeniceri İlhan, my aunts Rezzan Kinnunen & Meral Goktebir, and my other cousins Yagiz Yeniceri, Inanc Goktebir, Hande & Gokhan Yurdumakan. Also, I can’t miss these people, either: Mariia Korotka, Gaye Cetinkaya, Gena Livings, Yigitcan Kesendere, Gizem Bas Ozer, Murat Tali, Pamela Kelly, Leyla & Bahadir Yener, Cuneyt Yanaroz, Sevil Akhar Congar, Isil Sevinc Kargin, Umit Baykara, Yusuf Yilmaz, Emine Pinar Ezmen Dogu, Kilby Sanggalang, Sumer Pasin, Derya Tecimer, Zeynep Daga Elaldı, Silva Ozkeskin, Chie Kobayashi, L. Diane Wolfe, Randy Smith, and Rebecca Godson.
And as the last but the most special thank you for coming to my life goes to Esra Ozkalkan. Lady Beautiful, are you ready to start from where we left off and accomplish the mission for once and for all? Believe me, it will be a very exciting ride, sweetheart!
